As the first director for a brand new grant program to create a cohort for clergywomen across the South, I reached out to AnaYelsi Velasco-Sanchez for support in crafting the application selection process, and she delivered more than I could have hoped. AnaYelsi worked with me to design a system for reviewing applications, pulling together an effective application review panel, and selecting participants for the inaugural cohort. She also facilitated our selection meeting, skillfully asking good questions, keeping us on track, and offering a non-anxious presence in the midst of difficult discussion so that I could simply participate in the meeting and focus on the applicants. She also led us in evaluating the application and selection processes at the close of our meeting and left us with great notes for how to improve moving forward. I cannot recommend her highly enough and look forward to working with her again in the future!
