Brave Commons

Need an impartial voice to help navigate hard conversations? Someone to guide your group through the long-term process of implementing change? Want professional facilitation for your critical meetings?

AnaYelsi is available as a consultant for businesses, faith communities, social groups, and organizations seeking to grow and navigate challenges around an array of topics. Relying on years of experience in activating leaders and bridge-building, she provides a relationship-based approach to justice work that prioritizes the holding together of community, the empowerment of individuals and the need for a multi-pronged approach that walks individuals through an ongoing process of learning. Training sessions are a great place to explore the work that needs to be done. Consulting and facilitation is where the work gets done.

AnaYelsi will work with you to develop a plan that meets the specific needs of your community. For example: a special package that includes multiple services such as consulting sessions plus training sessions can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

As the first director for a brand new grant program to create a cohort for clergywomen across the South, I reached out to AnaYelsi Velasco-Sanchez for support in crafting the application selection process, and she delivered more than I could have hoped. AnaYelsi worked with me to design a system for reviewing applications, pulling together an effective application review panel, and selecting participants for the inaugural cohort. She also facilitated our selection meeting, skillfully asking good questions, keeping us on track, and offering a non-anxious presence in the midst of difficult discussion so that I could simply participate in the meeting and focus on the applicants. She also led us in evaluating the application and selection processes at the close of our meeting and left us with great notes for how to improve moving forward. I cannot recommend her highly enough and look forward to working with her again in the future!
